Six weeks after president Trump said the Coronavirus was “totally under control,” Nurses all across the country were picketing for personal protective gear, also known as PPE.

“You cannot get an N95 mask” says Jose, a nurse in New Jersey. “What they are essentially doing is sending us in to risk our own health without giving us the proper equipment.” He says the situation at his hospital has become so dire that nurses have had to start reusing their masks.

“I’m ex-military,” says Tina, a nurse in Ohio. “I take pride in following the Commander-in-Chief’s rules, but i feel like in this instant he’s out of his league…” she says of President Trump’s lackluster response to the equipment shortage across the country. “If we don’t take the necessary precautions, we will get sick, and people will die.”
